When Should You Schedule a Milestone Session?
While every child’s development is unique, many families choose to book milestone sessions around these common ages:
- 3 months – Big eye contact, smiles, and tummy time
- 6 months – Sitting up, laughing, and chubby rolls
- 9 months – Crawling, standing, and playful personality
- 12 months – Walking, clapping, and cake-smashing joy
Some families choose to document all four sessions throughout baby’s first year, while others book just one or two—whatever suits your family best.
Can You Book If Your Child Is Over One?
Absolutely. Milestones don’t stop at 12 months—and neither does the magic.
Whether your child is two, five, or beyond, I’d be honored to help document whatever chapter you're in. Some of my favorite milestone sessions have featured older kids baking with their parents, splashing in a backyard kiddie pool, or cuddling up during a real bedtime routine.

How Long Is the Session?
Each milestone session is child-led, meaning we follow your little one’s cues to guide the flow of the shoot.
Sessions typically last between 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on your child’s mood, energy, and the kinds of moments you'd like to capture. You never need to worry if your child is feeling shy, energetic, or cranky—I’ve worked with kids of all temperaments, and I always approach sessions with patience, fun, and flexibility.
Where Does the Session Take Place?
Most milestone sessions take place in the comfort of your home, where your child feels most relaxed. Common spaces include:
- The living room for cozy cuddles
- The nursery or playroom for colorful fun
- The backyard for natural light and play
Prefer to venture out? I’m always open to creative locations like playgrounds, gardens and more. The goal is to choose a setting that feels natural and joyful for your family.
Can Siblings or Parents Be in the Photos?
Absolutely! Milestones are never just about one person—they’re about the family that nurtures and celebrates them. If you’d like to include siblings or parents, I’m more than happy to do so.
